La reforma a la ley va enfocada a que sea solamente un proceso administrativo, donde una vez que verifiquemos que la persona es mayor de edad, que no tiene una discapacidad mental o psicológica, y que está en pleno uso de sus derechos y facultades, solicite de manera formal el cambio de identidad de género al sexo opuesto, y pueda cambiar su sexo y nombre.
Las personas que sólo deseen cambiarse el nombre y no de sexo, no podrán realizarlo, ya que la reforma aprobada por el Congreso el Estado no tiene ese alcance, con el fin de evitar que haya quienes quieran evadir alguna responsabilidad penal o financiera.
